A Little Bit Crafty

Every year (Well this is the second year lol) my local momma group does a hand made toy swap. I have been working on a few items and did the mad dash last night and today getting them finished. It was fun and I really like how they all turned out. So I did 6 food sets and a cute little owl.
That means I will get 7 surprises in return. We do the swap at our monthly Mom's Night Out which is this Friday. So I dropped all my stuff off at Erika's house today she is our Swap Mistress and does an awesome job of sorting everything. She is also Inspired Mama See her button in my right hand column. My New Look

I am so excited I just spent this afternoon redesigning my blog. My good friend Darcy/Knotty Knitter helped me by posting her tutorial on grabbing a button. Then she called me and talked me through some changes. Plus she has all these fabulous blog helps at the end of her knitting patterns links on her blog. It was so much fun and everything on here is done totally free. I am excited to start blogging again and have this beautiful new look to cheer me.

I went Dancing last night

It was MNO and we blessed a couple expectant Mom's with gifts. I am sure Jessica will post pictures on her blog. We went to Table Rock Brew Pub. Their food is yummy and their beer is good. While I waited for my food Paula got me started on DPNs made by her Dad with a sock pattern written by her Mom. After frogging it many many many times and a bit of help from Heidi at coffee, I finally got the size right and was on my way, Dancing naked with the porcupine. It is good to have talented friends. :) So far I really like dpns much much to my surprise. Oh and the socks, they are for my little sweetie girl.

Congo The Cherry Blossom sold right away I still have the Water one. I may have to knit something as a gift out of that. I also did a custom dye I gifted to a momma friend so she could knit up some little longies for her boy bundle that will be here soon.

Can I?

Can I just keep on resolving to be a better blogger? I just signed up to join Ravelry. So I have to get better at this blogging thing. I have been knitting and dyeing yarn. I've done some sewing too. Apparently I need to open a Flicker account so that is on my list for today. There are over 16,000 people ahead of me waiting on their invite from Ravelry. WOW!!! That is a lot of people.
I also got some raw fleece I need to wash and get ready for spinning which I am hoping to start doing soon. Okay now to figure out how to post some pictures here. :)

LOL I guess I just need to develop the habit of coming here.
I have been knitting and I joined a congo on Hyenacart to sell some of the things I make. You can see it here http://hyenacart.com/Majestic It is a bunch of real life friends from here in Idaho who got together to sell our wares. we have been sharing with each other and learning from each other for years. We have bought and swapped items from one another as well. We just had our second stocking. I love to see what everyone comes up with for our themes. Next stocking is Sept 13 It is going to be a really great theme.
